What Makes You Feel Cared About?
Don’t assume that what makes you feel cared about is the same for your partner. As Dr. Gary Chapman writes in “The Five Love Languages,” for some of us, words of afirmation may be most important. For others, it may be about quality time together, affection and touch, gifts and presents, or acts
of service that help accomplish goals, assignments, or chores. It’s natural to have different ways of giving and receiving love in different relationships. Actions that say “I love you!” to a spouse may be very different than what makes a teenager feel cared about.
